Going into detail
Earlier, I just told you what land pollution is as a whole. Now, I will explain to you the causes, effects and solutions to land pollution, but first let's start with the causes. Land pollution is caused by so much human activities. Experts say that by 2050, land pollution will be very hard to control and to solve because the soil everywhere is poisoned.
Land pollution is usually caused by our household wastes, landfills, urban activities and agriculture. Household wastes cause land pollution because when we leave our trash outside of our house, we place it by the soil. This let's the chemicals from the waste go to the soil and poison it. Landfills cause land pollution because there is so much waste there and the chemicals spread everywhere making it unsafe to stay there. Urban activities cause land pollution because the debris can release chemicals, especially demolition sites because it release asbestos. Agriculture causes land pollution because of the excessive use of fertilizers. In a documentary, farmers from India experience problems with their crops because it is a cause to diseases at their area. Also, the water and soil obviously gets polluted because these fertilizers seep down and weakens it and makes it unsafe to use.
The process of where does the the trash all go, the first is that the garbage collectors get the trash and go to the transfer station. When it reaches there, the station segregates the trash by recycled items and trash items, then they bring it to different locations. If it is recycled items it will go to the manufacturing center with the products mostly like plastic, paper, ewaste(energy waste), metal and cardboard which turns the trash into products, then delivered to shops that will sell the products. After someone buys it they will now compost the organic products turning it to plants or crops. If it was trash it has 3 different areas to go, the first one are landfills with a gas collector which is for finding gas there in case for no danger. The second place is an energy plant which gets trash which can still be used for energy or produce it. The last place is a composting site which makes the plants or crops, then they deliver it to different shops requesting it. Lastly it goes to the owners and composed again.
The effects of land pollution are the problems related to health and our environment. It affects our health because this chemicals spread everywhere and we are unconscious about it, which risks us to diseases and sicknesses such as cancer, stomach ache or worse, death. These effects may also be the same to animals who are experiencing sickness or trouble from land pollution.
It affects our environment because land pollution also causes other environmental issues. Some of them is air and water pollution. It causes this because the chemicals are collected by the air (air pollution) and sometimes lands at water (water pollution).
What we can do to solve land pollution is to recycle biodegradable trash and make it into something or even better, an invention. Also, we should reduce the use of trash, especially non-biodegradable trash. This will help reduce the risk of contaminating our soil.

Ways on how to prevent land pollution
Here are some ways on preventing land pollution:
- REDUCE THE USE OF TRASH - Reduce how much waste you use, especially non-biodegradable wastes. Why? Non-biodegradable is not recyclable, so you can't use it again and all you can do is watch it rot. You don't want that to happen because it takes at least 500 years for items like this to decompose. An example of this is aluminum.
- RECYCLE - Recycle biodegradable wastes into new products. Show the world there are things you can make out of trash.
- PROMOTE PROJECTS - A simple thing you can do is to share to others the projects Organizations, NGOs, the government, etc. launched. Share it to them through social networking sites like Facebook or you can tell it to them face to face.
